Oregon Surf School
Each session of “Oregon Surf School” includes 3 surf lessons with instruction and all the equipment you need included! Experianced surf instructors will select the equipment for you from a full size run of mens, womens & kids high quality rental wetsuit, boots, and surfboards, all you need to do is show up with a positive attitude and be ready to have a great time learning how to surf in Oregon. Each Oregon Surf School Session will be made up of groups of 8 - 15 beginning surfers from ages 9 to 99. All surf instructors are first aid/cpr certified and ready to help you have a great time learning to surf this summer!
*$99 per person includes use of wetsuit, boots, hood, surfboard and instructors in group setting of 8-15 students for 2 hours per day, for three days. Classes run from 10:30am-12:30pm daily unless otherwise noted.
Drop into any of our Surf School sessions for one day, just $50 per person per day, all your rental equipment (surfoard, wetsuit & boots) is are included as well as professional instruction for 2 hours. Classes run from 10:30am-12:30pm daily unless otherwise noted.
Options to add gloves and keep your rental equipment past the 2 hous lessons are also available!
A private Oregon surfing lessons last for 2 hours and takes place at Agate Beach or Otter Rock, depending on conditions. The private Oregon Surf lesson costs $70.00 for the first person and $30.00 for each additional person up to 5 maximum per group. *price does not include rental equipment *Surf Lessons take place at Otter Rock or Agate Beach in the Pacific Ocean on the beautiful Central Oregon Coast. *24 hr. notice may be required to secure a surfing instructor so call ahead when ever possible. *All surfing students must fill out a rental agreement even if they are not renting equipment. *Call for discounts available for groups of 10 or more people. Learn the basics from friendly, experienced surfing instructors in Newport Oregon. All of our surf instructors are first aid/CPR certified and have many years experience as all around watermen. Oregon surf lessons are tailored to fit your schedule and match both your level of experience and individual personality. Most lessons will include instruction & practice in predicting good surf conditions (KNOW BEFORE YOU GO), ocean safety (WHAT TO DO, WHAT NOT TO DO), equipment selection, techniques for “making it outside” (DUCK DIVE, TURN TURTLE, THE PUSH UP), standing up, turning, and surfing in a crowd (EXPECTATIONS AND SAFETY). US $70.00Beginner Tow in surfing Lesson: This lesson is for the surfer who wants to try tow in surfing by having an expert tow them into comfortable sized waves and have a great time feeling like a pro. This tow in surfing lesson allows the participant to be towed into waves but does not include instruction on all of the skills associated with becoming a fully rounded tow surfer, such as learning to drive the waverunner in large surf.
*Purchase of this lesson includes:
Use of expert driver, towin ready waverunner, and tow in surfboard for a lesson period of 3 hours, gas & launch fees included. Typical schedule includes learning tow surfing safety, learning tow surfing hand signals, launching, practicing tow surfing techniques and towin safety, followed by grabbing the rope and tow in surfing!
*wetsuit and boots are not included but are available as an added option.
*Learning to drive waverunner in the surf will not be covered in this lesson.

Intermediate Tow in surfing Lesson: This lesson is for the surfer who wants to learn tow in surfing by having an expert tow them into comfortable sized waves and also practice driving the waverunner in the surf zone. This tow in surfing lesson includes instruction on all of the skills associated with becoming a fully rounded tow surfer, including learning to drive the waverunner in large surf.
*Purchase of this lesson includes:
Use of expert driver, towin ready waverunner, and tow in surfboard for a lesson period of 3 hours, gas & launch fees included. Typical schedule includes learning tow surfing safety, learning tow surfing hand signals, launching, practicing tow surfing techniques and towin safety, grabbing the rope and tow in surfing, then practicing driving in the surf zone.
