If you fail on both attempts the paddle leash will make the paddle drag in the water like a sea anchor attached to your kayak slowing the speed of the kayak drifting in waves and winds, making it easier for you to get back in control. The super strong tubular nylon webbing and 1/2 inch think bungee make it ideal for demanding conditions. The bungee paddle leash is four feet relaxed and extends to 6 feet giving you room to paddle while minimizing entanglement. It can also be used for a bow or a tow line.

This coil style leash is safer when kayak surfing because it can break free if you get in a bind. The leash is 3 foot relaxed and 8 foot extended and has a Velcro closure for attaching to the paddle. A strong plastic attachment clip is attached to the other end that wont scratch or damage the surface of glass and composite boats. As with all of our GTS series kayak seats we use heavy duty 600 denier fabric wherever extra stress is apparent, {primarily the back of the kayak seat and the zipper pack attachments}, a combination of ultra soft, comfortable EVA foam for cushioning against the back and seat bottom and a PVC plastic foam combination for maximum back support and fatigue reduction.
