However at 12.5" tall the GTS sport kayak seat provides plenty of back support for any sized paddler and with its deep padded thermoformed foam panels this seat will self conform to each individual kayaker to create customized cushioning without compromising requisite firmness. This kayak seat has a sewn in oversized cargo pack on the back and, like all of our kayak seats, there are solid brass snap attachment clips on front and back. As with all of our GTS series kayak seats we use heavy duty 600 denier fabric wherever extra stress is apparent, {primarily the back of the kayak seat and the zipper pack attachments}, a combination of ultra soft, comfortable EVA foam for cushioning against the back and seat bottom and a PVC plastic foam combination for maximum back support and fatigue reduction. The GTS Sport has single easy adjust thumb operated tension locks on the forward adjustment straps and 1.5" rear adjustable hold down straps in the back. Like all of our compression molded seats, the fabric is literally welded to the foam. This welded, sandwiched construction provides years of back support that is forever free of any fabric tearing or ripping that occurs with conventional manufacturing of sewn kayak seats. If it tears we will replace it. The back of the seat bottom and backrest is made from rugged 600 denier fabric giving the kayak seat rigidity and durability.
