Firewire Xtra Cado Surfboard
The Firewire Xtra Cado by Rob Machado takes the much-loved Machadocado and stretches it into a super-fun midlength. With plenty of foam, a smooth, glidey outline, and plenty of performance built into the rails, this is a board made for easy speed, drawn-out turns, and maximizing the fun when you don't feel like working overtime.
The Xtra Cado features a semi-rounded nose, smooth squash tail, and a domed deck with pulled-down rails for a responsive feel. A deep single concave flows into a double concave through the tail, helping the board generate speed while making rail-to-rail transitions feel quick and natural.
Don't let the midlength outline fool you—this thing can still turn. The thinly foiled squash tail keeps it responsive and lively, allowing you to draw long, flowing lines or tighten things up when you hit the pocket. Five fin boxes give you tons of options, so you can run it as a quad, twin, thruster, or 2 + 1 depending on the waves and how you want to surf it.
Rob Machado has been riding the stock 6'8" Xtra Cado with his Machado Seaside Quad set, while other team riders have been enjoying it with his Machado 2 + 1 setup. Basically, set it up however you want and go have some fun.
Midlength glide with shortboard attitude—the Xtra Cado is all about making surfing easier, faster, and a whole lot more fun.
